Need Free Dental Work - Upper Denture

I'm 45, male, unemployed construction worker. I am in desperate need of "free" dental work. I need a partial plate for my upper teeth. I've been out of work for almost two years now and even when I was employed, with insurance, I couldn't afford the dental care I needed.

I've had missing front teeth for over 20 years but it didn't matter as much then, I had a job. Now, with the way I look, I can't find work, nobody wants someone with no front teeth talking to customers. Plus, they think "If he doesn't take care of himself, how is he going to take care of my business?"

I take care of myself the best I can. I worked 23 years with the same company, but being unemployed for the last 2 years, I have nothing. I recently attended a free dental clinic in Waterbury, CT (CTMOM), where I had a tooth pulled and had a partial made but after a few days, when the swelling went down, it didn't fit right anymore. Two weeks later, while at an interview, I was talking to the employer when the plate slipped as I was talking. I bit down on the plate and it snapped in 4 pieces. Needless to say, I didn't get that job.

Does anyone know where I can get some "FREE" dental work? I'm not usually a person to take handouts but, as times are getting worse for me, this is something I desperately need and I'm at my wits end. I'm located in the center of Ct. but I will drive a couple hundred miles if I can get done the work I need.

Thank you in advance for any information I receive, it's greatly appreciated.
