Periodontal Disease and Dentures

I am a 52 year old male in North Carolina and have inherited periodontal disease. I had dental insurance for a while but am currently unemployed and living on the dreaded unemployment insurance.

I am losing my teeth rapidly. It is painful to eat and to drink anything. My former dentist told me that the only thing holding my teeth in my gums was bacteria. Is there a dentist out there that would help me. I need my teeth pulled and some kind of dentures. I cannot afford to pay much of anything. The best situation would be free but we all know there is no such thing.

Besides the pain, there is also a high level of embarrassment especially when you are trying to find a job in today's job market. Unfortunately as everyone knows if you go into a job interview with no front teeth you are judged on that immediately. If someone can help I would be forever grateful.
